Agricultural Demonstration

Mahan Seva Sansthan supported demonstration plots to promote water efficient agricultural practices with 214 farmers and 49 farmers in 4 hectares of land of 10 villages surrounding Udaipur district in 2009.
Our programme emphasised on importance of selection of seed to enhance production, we also demonstrated seed treatment to show use of culture treatment, weed control effect was shown on crop production in rain fed agriculture. In collaboration with government agriculture department officials during crop demonstration activity changed mindset of the local farmer and now some of them valued their advice for rain fed agriculture activities. Presently 138 families are doing vegetable gardening by using the waste water for growing vegetable crops at backyard.
