Pasture Land Development

Almost every village have pasture-lands which is reserved for animal grazing but lying barren from many years. Stones and boulder are exposed because of soil erosion in the pasture-land.

Mahan Seva Sansthan works for pasture-land development, with the active involvement of community. We have supported land release from encroachment, sketching of Check dams on the land, Group formation for pasture land maintenance and management.

More than 100 hectares of pasture-land was treated and check dams were constructed with people participation. The moisture content increased in the pasture-land due to rainwater harvesting, reduced erosion that enhanced availability of fodder for animal rearing for long time on sustainable basis.
