Water Harvesting Structure
Agriculture production depends directly on availability of water, at times farmers have to take gaps of one shower to another. Rabi and Kharif crops are dependent on availability of ground water and monsoon. To increase ground water it is necessary to store rainwater on surface so that it can percolate in ground and recharge ground water.
Various ways were used to harvest rainwater small one calls nadi/ LCWHS. Big Nadas were constructed to harvest rain water in large catchments areas on private/public lands, the stored water used for irrigating field in down stream area and it increase water level in wells and it is a good method of recharging ground water.
