Kaushal – A Women’s Handicraft Enterprise

MSS is initiating a new for-profit enterprise to support the work of the women artisans that we are associated with. Kaushal will consist of a website through which these handicrafts can be purchased, both in India and abroad. There are also long-term plans to open a dedicated shop within Udaipur where these products will be sold. Udaipur is the perfect location for an enterprise such as this, due to the large number of both domestic and international tourists that pass through the city.

Though the new enterprise is still at early stages, and currently does not have the necessary certifications to sell products independently, this will be in place by early 2015.
